Mr. Gary Lee George, age 65, of Glen Burnie, MD and a former Tyrone resident died Friday, February 17, 2006 at North Arundel Hospital, Glen Burnie after a lengthy illness. He was born June 28, 1940 in DuBois, the son of Theodore A. and Garcia L. Solada George. He was first married to Nancicarol Beezer and secondly to Barbara A. Getz. He is survived by a son, Charles “Todd” George and wife Christine of Palm Springs, FL; two daughters, Jennifer L. George Woomer and Megan S. George, both of Tyrone; two granddaughters, Andrea L. and Allison M. George, both of Palm Springs; two grandsons, Ryan M. George of Pittsburgh and Jeffrey L. Woomer of Tyrone and four step-grandchildren of Palm Springs. Also surviving are two nieces, Debra George Hagg of State College and Joanne George Evans of McConnelsburg and one nephew, Michael George of Orlando, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Theodore A. George.
Mr. George was retired from Wells Fargo where he had been employed as a security officer.
Private funeral services for Gary Lee George were held in Glen Burnie at the convenience of the family.
