Mrs. Janet R. Endress, 72, of Bellwood died Monday evening, Feb. 13 at Altoona Regional Health System, Altoona Hospital Campus.
She was born Oct. 12, 1933 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late David A. and Loretta G. (Goshorn) Madara. She married Charles E. Endress on Jan. 17, 1953 at Grace Lutheran Church, Bellwood.
Mrs. Endress is survived by her husband; a daughter Melodi Estright and husband, Andy of Tyrone; sons Michael A. and Mark A. and wife Janice all of Bellwood; grandchildren: Karrie Bonsell, Steven and Michael Colyer, Dave Endress, Sheri Noonan, Jill and Curt Endress; brother Robert S. of Orlando, FL and sister Nancy J. Enfield of Fairfax, VA.
She was preceded in death by a son, Miles A. in 1978 and a brother William.
Mrs. Endress was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bellwood. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening and researching her family history.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of the funeral service on Friday, Feb. 17 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Rev. Robert Kennedy officiating.
Interment will be at Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
