State police made two arrests in a Bellwood area crime that dates back to mid-December.
One of the two suspects arrested waived his right to a preliminary hearing yesterday, according to Magisterial District Judge Fred Miller.
The incident happened on the morning of Dec. 16 according to a police press release. Police were aided in their investigation by photos apparently taken by the suspects in the commission of the crime.
Police said 18-year-old Travis Carl Wilson and a 15-year-old male juvenile entered the residence of 30-year-old Cianissa Berardi without permission and spread liquid dish soap throughout the kitchen and inside of the refrigerator. The two teens also allegedly poured liquid dish soap into a gallon jug containing milk.
Police said the two teens took photos of themselves with the victim’s disposable camera. The woman later identified the suspects and confronted them. Wilson then returned the stolen camera to her.
Berardi later had the film developed and found the photographic evidence of the crimes.
Wilson was arrested last week and arraigned before Judge Miller. Wilson was released on $25,000 unsecured bond. The state police said juvenile charges were filed against the 15-year-old.
Police listed the charges as burglary, recklessly endangering another person, criminal mischief and theft.
Judge Miller said Wilson was represented by a public defender and he waived his right to the preliminary hearing.
