Mrs. Rhella J. Bonsell, 93, of Fuoss Mills, Tyrone RD5, went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Tyrone Hospital.
She was born June 21, 1912 in Fuoss Mills, a daughter of the late Silas and Attie (Eyer) McFarland. She married Gilbert R. Bonsell May 3, 1928 in Cumberland, Md. He died in 1988.
Mrs. Bonsell is survived by a daughter: Norma L. Swartz and her husband, Raymond of Tyrone RD5; a son: G. Wayne Bonsell and his wife, Donna of Lancaster; five grandchildren: Dr. Leslie Roub and his wife, Deborah of Limerick, ME, Lori Tomlinson and her husband, Rick of Tipton, Cheryl Hefft and her husband, Milton of Lancaster, Amy Misera and her husband, David of Pinecroft and Dr. Joshua Bonsell and his wife, Alina of New York City; four great-grandchildren: Meghan, Hannah, Grace and Zachary and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jordan and two brothers and two sisters.
Mrs. Bonsell attended Grazierville United Methodist Church and Altoona Alliance Church. She was a devoted follower of the Billy Graham Ministries.
Mrs. Bonsell was a devoted mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 25 and 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of funeral service on Thursday, January 26, 2006 at Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating.
Interment will be at Charlottesville Cemetery, Antis Township.
