Clarence L. “Clem” Widney, Jr., 73, died on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Riverside Regional Medical Center, Va. He was a native of Tyrone.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia “Patty” Widney, Newport News; two sisters: Evie Widney McClellan of Altoona and Dolly Widney Lucas of Fayetteville and many nieces and nephews.
Clem was a Peninsula resident for the past 30 years. He retired in 1996 from the maintenance Department at the Newport News Shipyard with 22 years of service. Mr. Widney was an Army Veteran, a member of the Animal Aid Society, and was a Shriner.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Long-Akers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dan Hammel officiating.
Friends may call Long-Akers Funeral Chapel, 715 Church Street, Saxton, Pa. on Saturday, February 4 from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
Burial will be held at Bunker Hill Cemetery.
