The sixth annual Tyrone Area Business and Career Expo is scheduled for tomorrow at the Tyrone Area High School gymnasium from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m., and the public is encouraged to attend.
The purpose of the Expo is to help promote area businesses and educational institutes by bringing them all together. The Expo provides the public the opportunity to see what is available in the community and surrounding areas when it comes to businesses and a career outlook.
The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce will showcase area businesses and educational institutions as well as invite area students to attend the event. Parents are encouraged to attend the event with their children.
The following is a list of some of the exhibitors who will be on hand for the event: Cowfer\’s Custom Design, JJAN Financial Services, Epworth Manor, Kelly Wike State Farm Insurance, Keystone Rehab Systems, Triangle Tech, DelGrosso Amusement Park, Blair Medical Associates, PA Army National Guard, Rep. Jerry Stern, South Hills School Of Business & Technology, Cambria-Rowe Business College, Princess House Products, Tyrone Hospital/ProCare, Mount Aloysius College, Rhonda’s Retreat, Gardners Candy and U.S Army recruiting.
Also, Pennsylvania Highlands Community College, Allegheny Ridge Corporation, Healthsouth, Central PA Institute of Science & Technology, Penn State Altoona, Lock Haven University, Allegheny College of Maryland, Griswald Special Care, Home Helpers, Dubois Business College, Comfort Inn- Huntingdon, Pa State Police, DeVry University, PS Printing, Penn State\’s Air Force ROTC, Altoona Beauty School, Inc., and Computer Learning Network.
Also, Pruonto’s School of Beauty, Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce, Conner Heating and A/C, TAHS Renaissance, Tyrone FFA and TAHS biology, culinary and marketing departments.
This month’s Business After Hours will be held in conjunction with the Business and Career Expo. The event is sponsored by the Chamber and will be held in the gymnasium and lobby area.
The Business After Hours event offers great networking opportunities and a chance to meet friends and business associates for an enjoyable evening.
