Troop 92 of Bellwood-Antis traveled to the Greater Niagara Frontier Council’s Summer Camp, Schoelkopf for summer camp just outside of Buffalo, NY.
Sixteen scouts earned 58 merit badges.
Shane Browder, Jamey Rimmey, Josh Rimmey, Matt Rimmey and Christian Solecki earned the mile swim patch and competed in the Iron Scout Competition which included swimming one mile, running one mile to the archery range, shooting five arrows at a target (for highest score), running one mile to the boat docks and then rowing for one mile. Completing this course makes each of those Scouts an “Iron Scout”.?
Jamey Rimmey came in first place, Josh Rimmey came in third, Matt Rimmey fourth, Shane Browder fifth and Christian Solecki came in seventh. Josh Rimmey completed the requirements to become a Boy Scout Lifeguard (including dark water rescue).
Nathan Larimer earned the Sharpshooter Award for an NRA recognized score of 97. Jeff Browder, Jay Robertson and Jim Kohan attended as adult leaders.
Afterwards the troop traveled up to see Niagara Falls.
