Mrs. Eleanore Yvonne “Bonnie” Ward, age 72, of Pennington Road, Warriors Mark Township, Tyrone, died Monday, July 18, 2005 at 12 a.m. at Tyrone Hospital. She was born May 13, 1933 in Altoona, the daughter of Jesse Dayton and Esther Gulie Irvin Miller. On August 27, 1966 she was married by Reverend Robert M. Vowler at Wesley United Church to Paul C. Ward Jr. who survives.
She was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1951. She was a homemaker and had formerly been employed by the John R. Wald Company and Veeder Root. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She loved animals, particularly cats, birds, bears and deer.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, July 24, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Reverend Dr. Dennis R. Gable officiating. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society, 1837 East Pleasant Valley Boulevard, Altoona, Pa. 16601.
