William E. Shively, 62, of 601 Spruce St., Port Matilda, died Tuesday, July 5, 2005 at his residence.
He was born October 19, 1943 in Philipsburg, a son of the late John E. and Agnes R. (Harris) Shively. He was married to Dorothy Foster who survives in Port Matilda.
Also surviving is a son Terry of Sandy Ridge; three grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; two sisters: Gladys McMonagle of Port Matilda and Janet Maguire of Wisconsin; two step-daughters: Carrie Orndorf of Beech Creek and Karen Foster of State College; three step-sons: Paul Foster of State College, Brian Foster of Atlanta, Georgia and Todd Foster of St. Cloud, Florida and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Shively retired on disability in 1996 from Elf Atochem, State College as a machinist following 18 years service. He was previously employed in construction for various contractors in the area. He was a member of the Carpenters Union and a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 9, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment with veteran’s honors will follow at Port Matilda Presbyterian Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
