Mrs. Ethel M. “Shorty” Wilson, 92, formerly of Reightown died Saturday, July 2, 2005 at Beverly-Healthcare Hillview, Altoona.
She was born June 28, 1913 in Antis Township to the late Austin E. and Mary (McCaulley) Sneath. She married John E. Wilson on June 5, 1946 in Cumberland, MD. He died May 21, 1989.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by sons: John L. and wife Thelma of Spruce Creek and Ronan E. and wife Connie of Tyrone RD1; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brother Donald Sneath of Bellwood; sisters: Flora Dunkleberger of Lancaster and Rosealma Hostler of Norton, OH.
She was preceded in death by brothers: Robert E. and Austin A.
Mrs. Wilson was a 1933 graduate of Antis Township High School.
She was of the Protestant faith. Mrs. Wilson enjoyed crocheting afghans, vegetable gardening and canning vegetables and fruit.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 5 and 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. time of funeral service Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood with Rev. Norman Huff officiating.
Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
