Albert I. “Bert” Phillips, Jr., 46, of Northwood, 250 Main St., Tyrone, died at his residence Tuesday, June 21, 2005.
He was born November 31, 1958 in Tyrone, a son of Audrey L. Detwiler and the late Albert I. Phillips, Sr.
He is survived by a son, Benjamin Phillips; his mother, Audrey Phillips Welch; two sisters and two brothers: Susan Strayer (Bob), Nancy Gunsallus (Mike), Samuel C. Phillips and Richard A. Phillips; a step-sister Tammie Welch, all of Tyrone; his aunt, Maxine Hannah of Tipton; five nieces; one nephew and several cousins.
He was a graduate of Tyrone Area High School in 1976.
He was last employed at Gardners Candies and was self-employed as a lawn caretaker and landscaper.
Private services will be held Saturday, June 25, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor Richard McCahan officiating. Interment will be at Baughman Cemetery.
