Mrs. Alfaretta “Alfie” M. (Bush) Rhodes, 67, of Kent, OH, formerly of Bellwood died on Monday, May 23, 2005 at Robinson Memorial Hospital, Ravenna, OH.
She was born April 5, 1938 in Bellwood, a daughter of the late Robert W. and Anna Margaret (Cherry) Bush. She married Clifford L. Rhodes on June 8, 1958 in Bellwood.
Surviving Mrs. Rhodes are her husband of 47 years; daughters: Diane Strickler and Theresa Rhodes, both of Kent, OH; son: Matthew and wife Janet of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; grandchildren: Greg and Stephanie Strickler and Danielle and Anna Rhodes; a brother Robert Bush and wife, Verna and sisters, Irene Turnbaugh and Faye McCracken, all of Bellwood; a sister-in-law, Ann Bush of Altoona; 15 nieces and nephews and was a grand aunt to 35 nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Bush of Altoona, Walter Bush and a sister, Virginia Younke, both of Bellwood.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 27, 2005 at the Jon C. Russin Funeral Home, Bellwood by Rev. Robert Grossman. Interment was made at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
