Rev. LeRoy J. Harrison, Sr., 78, of N. 18th Street, Harrisburg, passed away Monday, May 16, 2005, in the Harrisburg Hospital.
Son of the late Iona Gollus Harrison and George Harrison, he was born March 2, 1927.
A retired pastor and a former member of the State Street United Methodist Church, he received his A.B. from Scranton University, B.D. from Drew University and S.T.M. from Temple.
Rev. Harrison was preceded in death by granddaughter, Shannon Murlaytt. Surviving are his wife, Carol M. Harrison; two daughters, Sherry Harrison of Tyrone and Joy Murlaytt of Camp Hill; a son, Jim Harrison of Camp Hill; a sister, Marjory Nichols of La Grange Park, Illinois; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2005, at Camp Hill United Methodist Church, 417 South 22 Street, Camp Hill, Rev. Dennis Keller, Pastor.
