An unidentified 21-year-old woman was raped after her car broke down in Antis Township during the early morning hours yesterday.
State police said the woman was walking along State Route 865 after her car became disabled. She was picked up by the suspect who then offered her a ride to Bellwood.
Instead, he turned off of State Route 865 onto a side road and proceeded to sexually assault the victim. The woman was treated at Altoona Hospital. Police said the suspect is between 23 and 30-years-old with blond hair and a brown goatee. The man was described as 5-feet 6-inches to 5- feet 10-inches in height with a muscular build and weighing 175 pounds.
Police said he was driving a black Dodge Ram pickup with an unknown Pennsylvania registration.
Authorities are asking anyone with information regarding the crime to contact state police in Hollidaysburg at 696-6100.
