William C. Milton, 78, of Tyrone died Saturday, April 16, 2005 at 11:45 p.m. at Altoona Regional Health System-Bon Secours Campus.
He was born Nov. 25, 1926 in Northwood, a son of the late Edward and Edith (Wyland) Milton.
On Jan. 10, 1949 in Northwood he married Alice Riggleman. She died July 27, 2000.
Surviving is a daughter Candace A. DiMemmo and husband Charles of Tyrone, a son William E. “Pete” Milton of San Diego, CA, four grandchildren, Frank, Eric, Andrew and Jennifer DiMemmo and a sister Rose Lattier of Goose Creek, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by a brother Charles “Bud” Bratten.
Mr. Milton retired in 1987 from Big Yank Corp., Tyrone following 30 years service.
He was a member of the Tyrone Moose and was a 1946 graduate of Tyrone High School. He had been a minor and little league coach from 1960-1980 and umpired girl’s softball in 1980s. He enjoyed bowling in the West End Bowling Leagues, playing pool and baseball.
Memorial services will be held Tuesday, Apr. 19, 2005 at 7 p.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Peggy Bonsell officiating. Private interment will be held at Bald Eagle Cemetery.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
