Joshua Allen Snyder of RR #2, Tyrone, was stopped for a traffic violation and during the course of the police investigation it was learned he had warrants for arrest from both the Blair County Sheriff’s Department and the Cambria County Sheriff’s Department.
Snyder was taken into custody based on those warrants and was found to be carrying a handgun.
Police said it appears that Snyder did not have a permit to legally carry the gun.
Snyder was turned over to the Blair County Sheriff’s Department and was placed in the Blair County Jail on a bench warrant. The Cambria County Sheriff’s Department was notified Snyder was incarcerated.
The investigation in the carrying of the firearm without a license was said to be continuing.

Miron passed on the right and traveled partially onto the shoulder area. His vehicle struck a large rock or boulder which was stationary and in its path on the east shoulder.
Miron and an adult passenger, Rosa Hernadec, were wearing seat belts. Two juvenile passengers were also wearing their belts.
Police said both the driver and passenger side air bags were deployed. No injuries were listed as a result of the accident.

A Tyrone driver and a Huntingdon man both escaped injury in a two-vehicle accident in Antis Township on March 6 at 11:45 a.m.
The crash happened at the intersection of State Route 4025 and Glenby Road when 20-year-old Jordyn Pearson of Tyrone failed to see a vehicle driven by 47-year-old Nathan Bonsell of Huntingdon. Bonsell was northbound on SR 4025 when Pearson pulled out from a stop sign and attempted to travel south. Despite an attempt by Bonsell to swerve and miss the Pearson car, the two vehicles collided.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Both cars had moderate damage.
