The twelfth annual Day of Caring sponsored by United Way of Blair County has been set for Wednesday, June 8.
During the special day, anyone can be a volunteer. Spend a few hours or an entire day painting, doing yard work, cleaning a park, playing with children or interacting with the elderly.
A press release from United Way said, “This project continues to grow year after year. Help us continue to help our local human service agencies by volunteering this year. If you have volunteered in the past, you know how rewarding this day really is.”
One suggestion for this year is to get a neighbor or co-worker involved.
“We want individuals to see their contributions at work,” said Kay Johnson, Executive Director of the Blair County United Way.
