Their numbers are in the thousands. They are bank presidents, neurosurgeons, homemakers, electricians, nurses, teachers and engineers. And they all speak fondly of the years when they worked their first job at DelGrosso’s Amusement Park. Hiring is now underway for the more than 500 employees who will staff the popular Tipton attraction this summer.
According to DelGrosso’s Amusement Park President, Peter Gardella, the workforce becomes more diverse every year.
“There was a time when our staff was comprised almost entirely of teens. While the majority of our workers are still teens, we are finding more and more mature workers wishing to reenter the workplace,” said Gardella.
“We have also seen an increase in the number of educators spending their summer in Tipton. We will fill about 60 percent of our openings with returning workers, so there are a lot of jobs available.”
Interviews will be conducted on two Saturdays, February 26 and March 5. Completed applications for employment must be brought to the interview. Applications are available at the park office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Applications may also be downloaded at www.delgrossos.com.
Openings include ride operators, food service staff, security officers, lifeguards and others. Applicants are given the opportunity to specify their first choice from a long list of job descriptions.
DelGrosso’s Amusement Park is an equal opportunity employer.
