Two marketing programs are currently available to benefit the Tyrone Area School District, which includes the Martin’s Grocery Stores A+ School Rewards program and Target’s Red Card program.
Both offer paybacks which are sent to the school district for the student’s benefit.
Parents, grandparents, friends, neighbors and anyone who cares about the schools can sign up for these no cost programs.
To sign up at Martin’s for the A+ School Rewards, stop at the customer service center of a Martin’s store. After an individual designates the school, each shopping trip at a participating Martin’s Food Market using the Bonus Card earns cash for Tyrone Area School District.
For the Target Red Card, the participant will sign up at the guest service center. In the next 30 day period, the participant can choose a day to receive 10 percent off of all purchases.
Also, when a shopper receives 1,000 points, they receive another 10 percent off day. The school receives one percent for every dollar spent at other businesses using the Target VISA Red card.
Tyrone Renaissance Education Foundation is encouraging parents to participate in this worthwhile project. The money received is used by Renaissance to fund mini-grants, many of which provide hands-on learning experiences for the students. The money earned also is used for student attendance awards and sundae parties which reward academic achievements.
“These two programs are excellent avenues for parents and interested individuals to take an everyday experience – shopping at Martin’s and Target – and use it to benefit students of the Tyrone School District,” explained Renaissance spokesperson, Elaine Conrad.
