For the upcoming holiday season, The Daily Herald would like to spotlight area churches.
The staff at The Herald sent out questionnaires by mail to all area churches and has received several responses. However, to make this church spotlight a success, the staff is urging more churches to participate in the project.
The staff used the church page which runs every Friday in The Herald for church contact information. If an area church was not contacted by The Herald, stop by the office to pick up a form so that every church in the area may be highlighted this holiday season.
Church members are asked to answer the questionnaire that was mailed out and to send back the completed information to The Herald office no later than Friday, November 19. Church information received after that date cannot be used for this year’s spotlight.
The information will begin running in the newspaper in December.
Churches may respond by mail, fax or email, or individuals may drop information off to the office at 1067 Pennsylvania Avenue, Tyrone.

Information in the spotlight includes: church name, name of pastor, other church positions, location, phone number, church service times, email, web site and history of the church. Also, upcoming or special events, Christmas events, youth programs, adult activities and more may be included in the information.

Churches are asked to also send any photos of the church building or photos of recent events to include with the spotlight information. Photos must be sent to the office on photo paper or may be sent by email in jpeg format to dherald@verizon.net. Photos may also be dropped off at the office during normal business hours.
