It’s 4 o’clock in the afternoon and three friends meet in the Breaking Bread Cafe, the in-house food and dining ministry at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone. In addition to the menu of ham loaf, scalloped potatoes, sliced carrots and peaches, Harold, Herb and Larry also enjoy each other’s company. These men expressed their utmost gratitude for Breaking Bread. They see the work and dedication first hand that’s required to maintain this ministry. For those who work here it’s a labor of love. While this meal was going on, several of the workers were not in the cafe; instead they were on the road delivering meals like they’ve done for two full years as of March 15. That’s right – Breaking Bread is two-years-old and still going strong. From left: Larry, Herb and Harold. (Courtesy photo)
