Mrs. Margaret Jane Snyder, 78, of 14 W. 12th Street., Tyrone died at 6:25 p.m., Wed., Nov. 3, 2004 at the Altoona Hospital.
She was born April 23, 1926 at Julian, a daughter of Elmer and Hazel (Stonebraker) Hosband.
She was married March 20, 1945 to William C. Snyder, Sr. She is survived by her husband and six children: William C. Snyder, Jr. (Luella), Altoona; David E. Snyder (Diane), Warriors Mark; Linda J. Kuhn (Earl), Hollidaysburg; Robert E. Snyder (Donna), Tyrone; Denise Day (the late Ralph Day), Tyrone; James A. Snyder (Deb), Sinking Valley.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and two step-grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren and a brother, Robert Hosband (Shirley) of Altoona.
She was formerly employed at Penn State University and Boyer Candy Company.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, Nov. 7, 2004 at 2 p.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Inc., Tyrone, with Pastor A. Michelle Somerville officiating.
Interment in Bald Eagle Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and one hour before the service on Sunday.
Mrs. Snyder always requested that friends coming to her viewing and services be dressed in bright colors.
