Snyder Township supervisor, James S. Daughenbaugh, Sr., age 82, died yesterday at 5:30 a.m. at his residence.
Daughenbaugh was currently serving a six-year term as supervisor when he died. He also served as township supervisor from 1982-87 and from 1994-2000.
Daughenbaugh served as township code enforcement officer for many years and was a member of the Northern Blair County Regional Sewer Authority as well.
Daughenbaugh was also a member of the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church, where he served as Sunday School Superintendent, a Trustee, a member of the Administrative Board, a member of the Commission on Education and taught the teenage Sunday School class.
He was a member of Lodge No. 494 F. & A. M. and had served as Past Master and had held various other offices. He was a Past Master of the Bald Eagle Grange and was currently serving as Master.
Funeral service for Daughenbaugh will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
