Mrs. Frank, 87, of 101 E. 23rd Ave., Altoona, died Friday, August 20, 2004 at Amber Terrace of the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
Mrs. Frank was born November 15, 1916 in Altoona, a daughter of the late John and Flora D. (Closson) Yeckley. She married Harry O. Frank, Jr. on September 23, 1948 in Cumberland, MD. He died February 4, 1976.
Mrs. Frank was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She retired as a secretary from the Tyrone Lime and Stone Co. after 40 years service, and had formerly been employed at McCrory’s five and dime store in Tyrone. She was a member of Dorcas Temple No. 128, Daughters of the Nile, and served as a volunteer at the Altoona Hospital Gift Shop from 1988 to 2000. She was a 1934 graduate of Altoona High School.
Surviving are a grand nephew and god child, Scott Gracey of Waukegan, IL, a very dear cousin, Gladys M. Wilson of Altoona plus another cousin Martha Sechrist of Tyrone. She was preceded in death by two sisters, a brother, and two nephews; John Gracey of Waukegan, IL and Harvey Gracey of Altoona.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday, and from 9-10 a.m. Monday, at the Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home, 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bethany Lutheran Church, 200 3rd Ave., Altoona, by the Rev. Brian Armen. Interment at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
