It’s hard to believe, but Tyrone Community Night at the Altoona Curve is next weekend, Sunday, July 18.
Those who are planning on attending who still haven’t purchased tickets need to hurry because this is the final week they will be available.
Only 1,000 tickets are available for the night, and numerous tickets have already been sold by area service organizations.
Tickets for the game, at $6 each, are currently available at the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce office, Gardners Candies and Monika’s Cards and Gifts.
Tickets can also be purchased from any Tyrone Rotary, Tyrone Kiwanis or Tyrone Community Players member. If tickets are purchased from a member of one of these service organizations, proceeds will benefit that group.
The entire evening on July 18 will be focused on the Tyrone area. The game features a 6:05 p.m. start against the Reading Phillies. The first pitch is scheduled to be thrown out by Mayor Patricia Stoner, and after the final out, there will be fireworks.
Tyrone Area Community Night special design T-shirts are still available for the event as well.
The T-shirts are white with a custom designed black logo. Sizes small, medium, large and extra-large are $5 each. Sizes double extra large and triple extra large are $7 each.
For more information about purchasing tickets or T-shirts, contact the Chamber office at 684-0736.
