The Pighole is a pig sty no longer.
Last week, the Boy Scouts from Pete Kreckel’s Troop 300 took some time from their weekly meeting to clean-up one of Tyrone’s most famous historical sites.
The Pighole is a pedestrian underpass on West 11th Street that allows folks to go under the railroad tracks.
The scouts picked up the trash, shoveled the dirt and leaf debris and covered the graffiti on the overhead supports.
Troop 300 is chartered by St. Matthew’s Catholic Church, and meets there every Thursday night at 7 p.m.
Pictured above is senior patrol leader Caleb Dillon as he surveys the litter and debris before the clean-up.
