It’s hard to believe, but it is almost that time of year again for area kids to hang up their school book bags and relax for the summertime.
With three months of vacation to look forward to, kids and parents alike should start planning fun and educational activities to fill up that time.
At Quest Haven Lodge, there is a camp to suit everyone called Truth Quest Camps.
Three teen camps are available this summer: Teen Quest, Young Outdoorsman, and Music Camp. A variety of children’s camps are also available: Kid-Quest Overnight Camp and Kid Quest Day Camps.
According to Truth Quest Camps representative, Lori Walk, campers visit Quest Haven Lodge for many reasons, including: the paintball, low ropes challenge course, hiking, a chance to bottle feed whitetail deer and fawns, camp fires, fight night, teen rallies with Praise and Worship leaders like Andy Otto, great guest speakers, crafts, obstacle and challenge courses, and a 100 foot slip ‘n slide.
The first camp scheduled from June 13-19 is available to campers entering grades six through twelve, called Teen Quest Camp
“Teen Quest provides a week in a dynamic Christian community that challenges campers to grow both spiritually and personally,” explained Walk. “Each day campers will have the opportunity to challenge themselves to activities, programs and adventures that provide lasting memories and life-changing decisions.”
An action-packed day of adventures ranging from paint ball and ropes challenge courses to nightly Christian rallies and game bonanzas are what campers have to look forward to. Praise and Worship Leader Andy Otto and other guest bands will be performing each night.
According to Walk, campers will be challenged to a deeper and more meaningful personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The next camp scheduled from July 6-10 is also for campers entering grades six through twelve called Young Outdoorsmans’ Camp.
Salt ‘n Light Youth Ministry will be joining Truth Quest Ministry for a time of outdoor adventures.
“Trapping, archery, and whitetail deer hunting seminars to educate the avid outdoorsman and to challenge teens to a deeper relationship with Christ will be one of this camp’s highlights,” added Walk.
Clay bird shooting, turkey calling contests, campfires, paintball, ropes challenge courses, an archery tournament and Andy Otto leading Praise and Worship are just a few extras for campers to look forward to.
The next camp scheduled from July 13-17 is for campers entering grades seven through twelve called Music Camp.
This is an all new and unique music camp with seminars on song writing, how to lead Praise and Worship, interpretive dance, voice, instruments and more.
The next camp scheduled from August 3-7 is for campers entering grades
