(Editor’s note: This is the fifth installment in a week-long series featuring the lead performers and cast of Tyrone Area School District’s ‘The Wiz.’ The show is scheduled for tonight and tomorrow at the Tyrone High School auditorium.)
Next to be introduced in the spotlight on the lead characters of The Wiz is Tyrone Area High School senior Rob Dick.
Rob has been seen in TASD’s production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat as Pharaoh. He has also played Arvide in TASD’s production of Guys and Dolls.
When asked about The Wiz, Rob said, “All of those were great appearances, but playing ‘The Wiz’ has been the most rewarding experience yet. There is nothing like working with your friends. The cast of The Wiz is very talented.
“Each day I rehearse, I’m humbled by the talent of the people I work with. I’m honored to have been selected to play ‘The Wiz’ in this awesome production. We all are working very hard to show you just how great we can be. When you ease on down your driveway and get in your car to drive to see us, I believe it will be a rewarding experience for you, as well. See you April 2 and 3, and as always ‘Believe In Yourself.’”
Tickets for The Wiz are available by calling 684-4240, extension 3700.
