For the last 15 years, the Fabulous Flashbacks have been performing across the region, delighting fans with their class “oldies” musical style.
They’ll be back again on Saturday, April 24 at Altoona’s Bavarian Hall performing at a special dance which will benefit the Central Pennsylvania Humane Society.
Tickets are $8 and will be available from CPHS offices at 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd.; Giant Eagle market; all Thompson Pharmacy locations; Chris’ Hallmark at Pleasant Valley Blvd.; The Dream restaurant in Hollidaysburg; and Community Furniture in Lakemont.
“‘The Flashbacks’ are the essence of true rock n’ roll,” says CPHS Executive Director Dave Hopkins.
“They are the region’s original oldies group and their arrangements of classic oldies rock is amazing. It’s pure nostalgia and never fails to get folks in the dancing mood. And after this brutally long and cold winter we’ll be offering a great relief from ‘cabin fever’ with this dance.”
The Flashbacks are: John Bowser, drums & vocals; Kenneth Merritts, guitar & vocals; Kathy Tornatore, lead vocals; David Tornatore, bass guitar & vocals; Edd Kissel, keyboard; and Donald Trullender, sax, guitar and vocals.
In addition to the Flashbacks, the event will feature raffle items and a 50/50 drawing.
Organizers say no tickets will be sold at the door and the minimum age to attend is 21.
