Evelyn C. Snellbaugh, 85, of 972 Tanney St., Bellefonte, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2004 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in College Township.
Born May 12, 1918, the daughter of Blaine and Stella (Focht) Cowher in Tyrone, she married John “Jack” Snellbaugh in 1944. He died on June 25, 1988.
She is survived by two brothers, Glenn E. Cowher of Allentown and Carey F. Cowher of State College.
She is a 1936 graduate of Tyrone and was of the protestant faith.
She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a was a retired telephone operator for Bell Telephone.
Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 9, 2004 at the Wetzler Funeral Home in Bellefonte. Pastor Leigh Pick will officiate.
Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park in Bellwood.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 9 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army Corps at 848 North Science Park Road, State College, PA, 16801.
