The Tyrone Area YMCA has scheduled its annual Indian River fruit sale, which will begin next week.
Leidig’s Farm of Warriors Mark will be supplying fresh citrus fruit from the Indian River area of Florida.
This is the first time the YMCA and Leidig’s Farm has joined together to create a successful fruit sale.
Director of the YMCA, Amy Hampton said, “We are pleased to be working with a local supplier, and we are looking forward to another successful fruit sale.”
The annual fundraiser is to support the general operating funds of the Tyrone Area YMCA.
Participants in programs at the YMCA will be among the individuals selling the fruit.
The fruit will also be available for purchase at the front desk of the YMCA. Orders can be faxed or phoned into the YMCA. Payment in full is necessary before the fruit can be ordered.
The fruit is scheduled to be delivered to the YMCA the week before Christmas.
Available for sale will be pink grapefruit, tangelos, navel oranges and mixed bags of fruit. Also available will be fruit baskets and bushels of red and yellow delicious apples.
