Pastor Will Jones is excited to introduce the new location of Greater Grace Fellowship to the community.
The church, located on Tipton Road (at the former Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall), recently began services at its new location on August 10.
“We’re just so excited. When you get a property like this, you can do so much more,” said Jones.
Jones previously held services at the Tyrone Social Center, then moved the church to Altoona, all the while looking for a place that would allow growth and expansion. After the former Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall was on the market for a while, Jones decided it would be a perfect location for Greater Grace Fellowship.
The parking lot is expansive, the building inside is in excellent condition, and there is room for growth in the future.
The parking lot is already full every Sunday, with around 130 people attending services from all over the area, including: Tyrone, Altoona, Hollidaysburg, Port Matilda, Tipton and beyond.
“Everybody is welcome,” said Jones, “and this is a great location because it’s in the middle of everything.”
He added, “It’s a young congregation in age, it’s vibrant, and if you enjoy Joel Osteen, then you’ll enjoy our church.”
There is a kid’s church for children 10 and under. There is also a nursery service for infants and toddlers.
Children will be dismissed following the praise and worship portion of the service, and ministry personnel will be available to direct the children to the appropriate rooms.
Church leadership includes: Will Jones, Pastor; Jon Epple, Elder; Joel Geesey, Deacon; Sue Busche, Kid’s Church and Nursery Liaison; Tammi Epple, Secretary and Andy Brisbin, Worship Leader.
Power Bible Study is held twice monthly on Wednesdays beginning at 7 p.m., and weekly worship service is held on Sundays beginning at 10:30 a.m.
