Hit-and-run crash
3/28 – State police in Hollidaysburg report a hit-and-run crash occurred at 10:45 p.m. along King’s Highway in Bellmeade.
Police said a 16-year-old Bellwood male lost control of his 1991 Chevy Camaro and struck several mailboxes. Police said he fled the scene without notifying owners, but was later cited for careless driving and hit-and-run.
Two-car accident
4/19 – Hollidaysburg-based state police were called to state Route 4027, in front of Parson Auto Sales in Snyder Township, to investigate a two-car accident.
Police said Ronald Kobak of Tyrone pulled from a parking lot and into the path of a vehicle operated by Garry A. Woomer of Tyrone. Woomer was traveling south on SR 4027 when the accident occurred.
Police said one person was transported to Tyrone Hospital by AMED ambulance, but did not release the identity.
Police were assisted at the scene by Tyrone Borough Police, Tyrone Volunteer Fire Department and Tyrone Fire Police.
Not in my house
4/20 – Police report the parents of a 16-year-old Tipton boy found a small amount of suspected marijuana in their sons pants’ pocket. The parents contact state police at Hollidaysburg and turned the suspected substance over to police.
Police said a juvenile complaint will be filed.
