Theft by decpetion
4/14 – State police in Hollidaysburg received a report from an Altoona man who claims he was deceived.
Michael David Coho of Altoona told police that while at Carpenter and Co. in Antis Township, a woman, approximately 5-feet tall with long blonde hair and wearing a jean jacket. Police said she told Coho that her vehicle had broken down and she did not have enough money to pay to have the vehicle towed. Coho said he lent her the money with the promise that she would return later that day and repay him, but she failed to do so.
It was also reported by several other businesses in the area that the same woman entered the businesses with the same story and requesting money. None of those businesses or person within did so.

DUI accident
4/15 – Police report a 41-year-old Tyrone man will be charged with DUI following a single vehicle accident that occurred along state Route 453 in Snyder Township.
Police said Thomas M. Hoover was transported to Tyrone Hospital following the accident and blood tests revealed a .30 blood alcohol content.
