Mrs. Alice L. Burns, 77, of 4923 Dungarvin Road, Warriors Mark, died at 10 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2003 at the East Pasco Medical Center, Zephyrhills, Fla.
She was born January 2, 1926 in Tyrone, a daughter of Lee Ernest and Ethel Irene (McCormick) Fleck.
She ws married May 18, 1947 at the First English Lutheran Church, Tyrone, to Domer E. Burns.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter Sondra K. Varner and her husband Terry of State College and a son David L. Burns and his wife Joyce of Pennsylvania Furnace.
She is also survived by four grandchildren: Erin and Alyssa Burns; Eric Toggart and Curtis Varner; one brother Frank Fleck of Bellwood; and two sisters: Charlotte Bayes of Corbin, Ky.; and Julia Larsen of El Paso, Texas.
She was a member of the Warriors Mark Bible Baptist Church and was a 1945 graduate of Tyrone High School. She was fond of sewing, knitting, chrocheting and enjoyed her grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Derman Funeral Home, Tyrone, with Rev. Steven E. Burns officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
Friends will be received at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m.
