Lost phone
3/20 – Police received a report of a lost Motorola flip phone. Police said the phone was lost by the complaintant’s son on March 1. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact police at 684-1364.
Church vandalized
3/20 – Police report a rock was used to break a lantern on a pole lamp at Wesley United Methodist Church. Police were requested to make periodic checks of the property.
Warrant issued
3/20 – Police report the issuance of an arrest warrant for Gary Lee Moore Jr. of RD 3 Box A21, Tyrone.
False alarm
3/20 – Police investigated a 9-11 hang-up call at 4:59 p.m. Officers made contact with a young boy who was playing with the phone.
Angered individual
3/20 – A citation will be issued by police for a man who caused a ruckus at his girlfriend’s apartment. Police said the man was using vulgar language towards a woman and threatened a man while at the apartment.
Domestic situation
3/20 – Police were dispatched to the Tyrone Townshouses at 10:39 p.m. to investigate a domestic situation. Responding officers learned a man sliced all four tires on a woman’s car and also put his fist through a wall and struck the woman. No further information was provided.
Theft from Jeep
3/21 – Police received a report of a theft from a Jeep parked on Columbia Avenue on March 20. The complainant said an Alpine 5-disc CD changer, valued at $200, a duffel bag full of hand tools and a grey and blue nylon CD case containing 48 CDs was stolen in the incident. Also a taillight was broken.

Cig case stolen
3/21 – Police received a report from a woman claiming her cigarette case, which contained her driver’s license, chek card, medical card and loose change, was stolen from DJ’s Bar the evening before. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Not so patriotic
3/21 – An American flag and small flag pole was taken from the porch of a Park Avenue residence sometime overnight. Police have no suspects, but would appreciate any information from the community.
Citing the salesman
3/21 – Borough police cited a salesman after he returned to a property that he was asked not to be on. Police said he was cited for trespassing.
Vehicle versus pedestrian
3/21 – At 6:12 p.m., police were called to Ninth Street to investigate a report of an accident.
Police said a female driver was pulling out of Ninth Street when an unknown juvenile female crashed into the side of her vehicle on a bicycle. The juvenile then fled the scene.
Police report there was damage caused to the passenger side door.
Don’t know when to stop
3/22 – Police responded to a West Tenth Street residence on two separate occasions for nosie complaints. Police responded at 2:55 a.m. and again at 3:30 a.m.
During the second visit, police said the woman would be cited. The person making the complaint was happy to know the responsible party would be cited.
Speed control
3/23 – Police received a report from a Washington Avenue resident requesting authorities to step up speed details between the 400 and 700 blocks. Police said the man claims vehicles are traveling too fast and that he fears for the children who live in the area.
Hit-and-run
3/23 – Police investigated a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Fifth Street at around 3:30 p.m. James Moore reports that someone side-swiped his 1995 Ford F-150 pickup. The impact caused the passenger side mirror to fold in and shatter the passenger door window.

Tax refund fraud
3/24 – Police received a report from a resident stating somone stole, forged and cahsed his tax refund check. Police said the check was issued on an Imperial Capital bank account.
Kids on the roof
3/24 – At 4:45 p.m., police received a report of kids playing on the roof at Big Yank. Police made contact with three juveniles who claims they were looking for a football, which was kicked and landed on the roof. Police said the football was recovered.
Strange encounter
3/25 – While working construction at a home on Washington Avenue, a worker reported to police that a man in the home next door tapped on the window and stated someone was trying to kill him.
Police checked all apartments and said there was no response.
Being harassed
3/25 – Borough police received a report from a man who said he was harassed by a known person while making a visit to someone at the Pennsylvania House. Police said the man cornered the complaintant in the elevator and called him vulgar names.
The complainant instructed authorities to file charges.
Garage windows destroyed
3/25 – A West 14th Street resident reported to police that two windows were smahed out of his garage. The man claims those responsible are juveniles that were playing in the alley. He asked that patrols be stepped up in the area.
State Police
Vehicle accident
3/25 – Hollidaysburg-based police were called to the southbound lane of Interstate 99 in Antis Township at 9:49 p.m. to investigate an accident.
Police said Hollidaysburg resident Gailen Ann Lucey was soutbound when she struck a deer that entered the roadway. Police said Lucy was not hurt. There was no indiciation of the deer’s condition.
Safe found
3/25 – State police at Hollidaysburg report the recovery of a home safe. The Sentry safe, model 0310, was found on Plummers Hollow Road in Snyder Township. The owner of the safe is encouraged to contact police at 696-6100 to make positive identification.
Mouth gets you in trouble
3/26 – Hollidaysburg police report charges of disorderly conduct were filed against a 31-year-old Tyrone man following an incident that occurred at 4:20 a.m.
Police said a state police dispatcher had called a residence where Christopher Lynn McClellan was to check on a 9-1-1 hang up call. While attempting to contact the caller, the accussed got on the phone and used obscene language toward her.
