Child porn charges filed
10/30 – A 38-year-old Saxton man has been arrested and charged with numerous counts involving child pornography after police in Hollidaysburg say he transmitted pornographic images of young children to an undercover officer via the internet in October.
The man is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of children, criminal use of a communication facility and obscene and other sexual materials and performances.
Police said the man turned himself in after at District Magistrate Kevin O’Donnell’s office in Butler. He was arraigned and released on $10,000 ROR bail.
PENNDOT accident
2/13 – A PENNDOT dump truck sustained no injuries but caused minor damage to an Osceola Mills man’s truck which was parked on Front Street in Philipsburg.
State police report Percy Scroggins III of Philipsburg was operating a 2002 Sterling dump truck southbound on Front Street when it struck and damaged a mirror on a parked vehicle owned by Ed Golemboski.
No injuries were reported.
