Tyrone Medical Associates was recently recognized for exceptional performance by the Pennsylvania Vaccines for Children Program.
Organizations that participate in the program are reviewed annually by PA VFC for quality assurance. Tyrone Medical Associates was recognized for exceeding PA VFC program requirements.

The Vaccine for Children Program was implemented in 1994 to increase vaccine coverage levels in public and private providers. Vaccines are provided free of charge to eligible children up to 18 years of age. Children are eligible for the program if they are Medicaid enrolled, without health insurance, American Indian or Alaskan Native, or have health insurance that does not cover vaccines.
The Vaccine for Children Program of the Pennsylvania Department of Health focuses on the elimination or control of vaccine-preventable diseases. The program provides vaccines for specific diseases that affect infants, children, and adolescents. The primary goal of the program is to achieve maximum immunization coverage in order to eliminate the occurrence of vaccine preventable diseases in Pennsylvania.
