On Aug. 22 and 23, the Tyrone BassMasters held its fourth and final night tournament on Lake Raystown, which was limited to only the lower half of the lake.
Randy Rawlings of Mill Creek, took top honors by weighing in the only five-fish total to tip the scales at 9.12 pounds.
Second place was captured by Metz Weko of Hungry Hollow, with a three-fish total weighing in at 3.96 pounds. In third place was Big Dan Garber of Grazierville with two fish weighing 2.85 pounds. Bill Keogh of Pennsylvania Furnace took fourth place with one fish tipping the scales at 2.80.
On Sept. 6, Tournament No. 8 was held at Raystown Lake when the BassMasters returned to daytime events. Rawlings once again was at the top, weighing in the only five-fish limit for the second tourney in a row for a total of 6.10 pounds to earn top honors.
Ed Henderson of Warriors Mark took second place with 4.30 pounds and added the lunker award with a 2.44-pound largemouth.
Big Dan Garber weighed in three fish at 3.18 pounds for third place, and Metz Weko took fourth place with two fish weighing in at 2.91 pounds.
Tournament No. 9 was held at Sayers Lake on Sept. 14.
Big Dan Garber of Grazierville, weighed in four fish at 7.85 pounds to take top honors. Garber also grabbed the lunker award with a 3.12 largemouth.
Chuck Mattern of Bellwood, earned second place with the only five-fish limit of the day, weighing in at 6.02 pounds.
In third place was Bob Fink of Tyrone, with three-fish caught weighing in at 3.67. Fourth place was awarded to Norm Nagl of Altoona, who weighed in three fish totaling 3.42 pounds.
