Mary V. Overton Fulcomer, 82, a resident of Tyrone Colonial Courtyard since 1999 and formerly of Hundred Springs Road, RD #4 Tyrone, died Saturday march 8, 2003 at 12:01 p.m. at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon.
She was born August 9, 1920 in Philipsburg, a daughter of Daniel and Myrtle (Burley) Tahaney. She was first married to Billie C. Overton in Santa Fe, N.M. He died in 1968. She then married Verne Fulcomer on December 24, 1971, He died in May of 2000.
Surviving is a son Daniel C. Overton, wife Peggy and grandson Patrick I., all of Naperville, Il., also surviving is a nephew Theodore J. Feller of Tyrone and several other nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family being preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
Mrs. Fulcomer retired in 1971 as a payroll secretary at Sarkes Tarzian, Inc., Bloomington, In., following several years of service.
She was a 1939 graduate of Tyrone High School and completed a secretarial course at the former Zeth Business School, Altoona, in 1941. She was a member of St. Matthew Church
Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 13, 2003 at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church with Father Joseph T. Orr, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Feller Memorial Home where there will be Wake services at 8:30 p.m.
