Cig theft
1/30 – Tyrone police report a male dressed in a black beanie, black coat and tan cargo pants walked into the Sheetz store and asked for eight cartons of cigarettes. Police said he then grabbed the cigarettes from the counter and fled the store.
Police said the incident is related to similar situations that recently occurred in Hollidaysburg and Logan Township.
Prescription drug theft
1/31 – Tyrone police report prescription drugs were removed from an apartment at the Pennsylvania House.
Sticky situation
2/1 – Hollidaysburg-based state police are investigating a burglary incident that occurred along Teaberry Street in Snyder Township.
Police said someone entered the home of Pamela Jo Stevens and poured bleach and glue on the living room carpet. Police also said those responsible poured glue underneath the sofa and love seat cushions and cut several appliance plug wires throughout the residence. Police also said two 9 MM pistols were also stolen.
Knife pulled
2/2 – Tyrone police report a fight recently occurred and a knife was pulled. Those involved were Benjamin Brower and James Kobuck. Police said Brower attempted to stab Kobuck.
Bower was arrested and committed to the Blair County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
Three-hours later, a woman arrived at the police station asking where Benjamin Brower was. Police said she used foul language towards the officers. She too was arrested and committed to BCP.
