1/23 – State police of Hollidaysburg report no injuries in an accident that occurred along state Route 4027 in Antis Township.
Police said Michael Paul Smith of Tyrone was southbound when he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway. Police said the vehicle struck a divided highway sign and came to rest on the east berm facing southeast.
Domestic dispute
1/23 – Tyrone police investigated a domestic incident involving a man and woman. Police said the man was intoxicated. Police said he became combative and needed to be pepper sprayed.
The male was transported to the Blair County Prison.
Nearly struck
1/25 – Tyrone police report a man walking on Washington Avenue near Pizza Hut jumped into the middle of the road and was nearly struck by a car. The man was gone upon police arrival.
Possible structure fire
1/25 – Tyrone police report a possible structure fire at a residence when a kerosene heater in the basement caught fire. Police said the heater was moved outside. No serious damage was caused.
Repeat mischief
1/25 – Tyrone police received a report from a resident of Garden Alley concerning her outside spot lights around her home were broken again. Police said the officers will patrol the area more intensely.
Cig theft
1/25 – Police report approximately 12 cartons of cigarettes were stolen from the Choice store. Police seized the surveillance video and retrieved latent fingerprints.
Police said the man is in his 20s, approximately 6-feet tall with a medium build. He wore a blonde goatee, earrings, an orange ball cap, gray coat and jeans.
Fight in parking lot
1/26 – Tyrone police received a report of a physical fight that occurred in the parking lot at Sylvan Acres. The caller told police a man was on the ground and several males were kicking him.
Police said everyone was gone upon their arrival.
Salvage registration plate lost
1/26 – Tyrone police received a report a a lost registration plate owned by Miller’s Parts and Service.
Attempted hit-and-run
1/26 – Tyrone police received a report from a man who stated that a known male attempted to strike him with a pickup truck. The man desired no police action.
Drunk driver
1/26 – Tyrone police responded to an incident where a man driving an orange truck struck a sign and was attempting to leave the scene. The responding officer mad contact with the responsible driver. Police said his blood alcohol content equaled .261 percent.
