Unresponsive female
1/1 – Tyrone Borough police responded for a report of an unresponsive female. Upon arrival, officers found the woman in the process of regurgitating. She was intoxicated and transported for medical treatment.
911 hang-up call
1/2 – Tyrone police report a woman dialed 911 then hung up. The receiver of the call said it sounded as through there was a domestic dispute in progress.
Officers responded and learned the male involved had already left the area. A woman, police said, was intoxicated. Police said she called them names then slammed a door on them.
Not so neighborly
1/2 – Tyrone police received a report from a Burley Avenue resident concerning his neighbor parked along the roadway who was blocking his grandmother’s property. Police said the car was parked legally and couldn’t be towed under those circumstances.
Retail theft/false identity
1/2 – Tyrone police report a man attempted to steal a USA Sports Weekly from the News Agency. Police said the man had numerous identification sources and offered a false identity to officers.
He was arraigned and committed to the Blair County Prison in lieu of $15,000 bail.
Officers ambushed
1/3 – Tyrone police report one of the department’s cruisers was struck with a large piece of metal while officers were on patrol in the area of Tenth Street and Berlin Avenue. The area was checked, but with negative results.
Domestic incident
1/3 – Tyrone police investigated a domestic incident between a man and a woman that originated at their residence at Sylvan Acres and carried over into the Tyrone Shopping Center. No arrests were reported.
Cellular phone stolen
1/3 – Tyrone police received a report from a man who said his cellular telephone was stolen from his unlocked vehicle when it was parked at Sheetz.
Turned himself in
1/3 – Tyrone police received a call from a man stating he wanted to go to jail and said he realized there was an outstanding detainer on him. He reported to the police station for arrest, then was lodged in the Blair County Prison.
Broken curfew
1/4 – While on patrol near the old Sheetz store, police said they noticed a juvenile who was out past curfew. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol. A citation was issued and he was released into the custody of his mother.
Arson?
1/5 – Tyrone police someone placed a plastic gasoline container into a a 1988 Chevy truck and lit it on fire. Police said only a seat burned inside the truck.
Simple assault
1/5 – State police in Hollidaysburg report 35-year-old Joseph David Roland, whose address was not provided, was arrested and arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment for incidents that occurred Dec. 21 and Jan. 3 and involved a 33-year-old female.
He was released on $4,000 unsecured bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 9 at 9 a.m.
