The Tyrone Area High School, Class of 1942 celebrated its 60th Class Reunion at an informal gathering on Friday, September 13, 2002 at the Bull Pen Restaurant.
The room was decorated in school colors, orange and black. Each attending classmate was presented a memory bag that contained momento’s from various businesses that were located in the Tyrone area during this classes school years and several recent new businesses.
On Saturday evening, the classmates again met at the Bull Pen to enjoy a dinner of baked steak and baked filled chicken breast. The tables were decorated with lovely floral centerpieces accompanied by candles in chrystal glasses and illuminated during dinner. The restaurant provided orange and black napkins folded in a flower design with a center of orange and black M&M’s.
Program booklets displaying a picture of the “Old Junior/Senior High School (Lincoln School)” on orange and black covers were provided to each graduate. Each graduate and guest received a name tag showing their graduation photo from the 1942 Falcon.
During the program, a video of the class reunion held in 1985 was shown.
The Class of 1942 graduated 178 seniors. Of that 178, there are 71 classmates who are deceased.
