Following an exciting weekend sampling La Famiglia DelGrosso gourmet pasta sauces to thousands at the first annual Food Network NYC Wine & Food Festival recently, Michael DelGrosso met and spent time with Olympic athletes fresh from Beijing at the Annual Salute to Women in Sports Gifting Suite at the Waldorf-Astoria. Gold Medal Gymnasts Nastia Liukin and Shawn Johnson tried La Famiglia DelGrosso (over pasta) and loved the sauces as well as Rowing Gold Medalist Mary Whipple. Diving champ Mary Ellen Clark also attended the gifting suite and carried home several jars. Michael, who used to throw the javelin in school, was thrilled to hold Stephanie Brown Trafton’s gold medal, which she won for discus throwing in Beijing. As a reminder, DelGrosso Foods will be featured on Food Network’s “Unwrapped” on Monday, November 3 at 9 p.m. The episode is titled, “Oodles of Noodles”.
