The Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce has released a listing of events for this year’s Tyrone Area Yuletyme Christmas celebration. More events may be added, and to do so, contact Executive Director of the Tyrone Chamber, Rose Black, at 684-0736.

• Now until January 2 – Promenade of animated windows in downtown storefronts sponsored by Tyrone Regional Arts Council and TAHS art department.
• Now until December 18 – Ye Olde House Decorating Contest where three winners will be announced December 22.
• December 4 – Yuletyme Soup Sampling at Graystone Court from 4 to 7 p.m. Tickets $5 in advance, $6 at the door available at the Chamber office, Gardners and Graystone Court.
• December 5 – Tree Lighting of the Community Christmas Tree in front of the Post Office downtown Tyrone at 6 p.m.
• December 5 – Tyrone Yuletyme Parade beginning at 6:15 p.m. and Santa arrives (Floats will be judged and cash prizes awarded). Sponsored by Rotary Club of Tyrone.
• December 5 – After the parade, visit with Santa at the Tyrone Armory for hot chocolate provided by Joshua House and cookies by Women’s Club of Tyrone.
• December 5 – Tyrone Hospital Auxiliary’s Annual “Holiday Tea” – quilt raffle, craft sale and complimentary refreshments in the Tyrone Hospital lobby from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
• December 6 – Tyrone Yuletyme Christmas Craft Show – 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Arts, crafts, attic treasures, food, children’s games and much more at the Tyrone Armory.
• December 6 – Cookie sale beginning at 10 a.m. at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library.
• December 6 – Children’s Story Hour from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Tyrone-Snyder Public Library.
• December 6 – Breakfast With Santa – sponsored by Tyrone Colonial Courtyard and the Tyrone Area Chamber of Commerce at Tyrone Colonial Courtyard beginning at 10 a.m. Cost is $5 for each child. Those two and under are admitted for free. For tickets and reservations, call 684-0736 or visit Gardners Candies. Gift bags will be given to all children at Breakfast With Santa.
• December 6 – “Nativities from Around the World” at the Tyrone History Museum from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., sponsored by the Tyrone Area Historical Society.
• December 6 – High Tea at Trinity Episcopal Church at 4 p.m.
• December 9 – Allegheny Chorale in concert at 7 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church.
• December 14 – Tyrone Area High School Christmas Choral Concert 1 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
• December 15 – Tyrone Area 7th & 8th Grade Choral Ensemble Concert 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
• December 18 – Tyrone Area 5th & 6th Grade School Band and Choral Concerts 7 p.m. at the high school auditorium.
• December 20 – Dance Fusion Holiday “Extrava-Dance-A” Show at TAHS auditorium 6:30 p.m.
• December 21 – Christmas Tour 2 to 4 p.m. at Wesley United Methodist Church.
• December 24 – Santa makes his annual Christmas Eve ride through town, escorted by the Volunteer Fire Companies of Tyrone.
