Tyrone native Doug Hoover captured his second win in as many starts this year at the New Jersey Summer Biathlon held on Sunday. With an 80% shooting performance and a solid run, Hoover finished 1:53 ahead of Altoona’s Chris Fischer, who finished second. Fischer ran strong and shot 50% to finish 2:06 ahead of third place finisher Christian Peterson of New Jersey.
Up next for Hoover is a two-race series in Saratoga, New York before taking a couple weeks off racing to prepare for the World Championship Trials next month.
