On Wednesday, April 2, members of the Tyrone chapter of the Kiwanis Club came in to recognize the children in the K4 preschool and Kindergarten classes as part of their Terrific Kids campaign. The Terrific Kids campaign promotes character development and self-esteem in the children. The K4 Preschool students were rewarded for using their manners with a Terrific Kids zipper pull and the Kindergarten children were given a Terrific Kids pencil for their efforts in using their words appropriately to express their feelings. The Kiwanis members who participated were: Bob Smith, Rev. Norman Huff, Fred Miller, Deb Moore, Bill Abbott, Chuck Banas, Pete Dutrow and Dr. Kay Lewis. (Courtesy photo)
