Last Meeting: On Friday, September 8, 2006, the Golden Eagles defeated Huntingdon 35-13 at War Vets Field. Without starters Tyler Gillmen and Doug Morrow, Tyrone was able to amass 423 yards of total offense, while limiting the ‘Cats to 143.
Quarterback Tyler Golden turned in one of the all-time single game performances for a Tyrone quarterback, completing 8 of 9 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. Golden completed three passes over 40 yards, including a 69-yard touchdown in the second quarter to Justin Schopp, and a 65-yard touchdown three minutes later to Johnny Franco.
Franco also added 124 yards on the ground on 20 carries, rushing twice for touchdowns. Schopp finished with five receptions for 143 yards.
The Golden Eagles led 28-13 at halftime, and added a final score in the third quarter.
