TYRONE–Jesse Hertzler had four hits and scored four runs while Josh Clark, who also scored four times, and Jaime Levinson both drove in three runs to help Tyrone Legion top Hoss’s 16-12.
In all, the Legion pounded out 19 hits.
Tyrone Legion built up a 10-5 advantage after four innings, although Hoss’s tried to stage a comeback, scoring seven runs over their final three at-bats. The Legion nine kept the pressure on Hoss’s with three-run innings in both the fifth and sixth frames to insure the victory.
Levinson picked up the win, and Tyler Golden notched a save by recording the final five outs after relieving Levinson with a 13-11 lead in the sixth.
Two of Hertzler’s hits were doubles. Doug Morrow and Levinson, who also tripled, both doubled as well.
Joe Ulsh had three hits, scored three times and drove in a run to lead Hoss’s.
Tyrone Legion (2-1) will travel to Vets’ Field tonight to play ReMax Realty at 5:30 p.m.
